Ascough’s was opened in August 2005 by owners Chris and Abby Ascough. Situated in the small town of Market Harborough, Ascough’s offers a stylish and relaxed dining experience. Our tastefully decorated 80 cover restaurant separates the dining area across two floors, providing an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. We also offer disabled access and are only a short walk away from plenty of surrounding car parks.
Ascough’s prides itself on serving delicious contemporary dishes using quality sourced ingredients from local suppliers such as Joseph Morris Butchers, Collins Fresh Produce, Waistcoat Wine, Emerson & West, The Langton Brewery and Duncan Murray Wines. Everything is produced on the premises from bread and biscuits to ice creams and sorbets. We have even distilled our very own Ascough’s Gin, full of Mediterranean flavours. If you like it so much you can even enjoy it at home by purchasing your very own bottle. The reasonably set lunch and evening menus offer an excellent array of meat, fish and vegetarian options that will stretch your imagination but not the purse strings. Our Tasting Menu and accompanying Wine Pairings offer you the chance to enjoy a tantalising gourmet experience. Menus are changed every month allowing you to dine more regularly.

Please note that the restaurant does not accept Children under 5 to dine, or infants in prams/car seats due to the restaurant not having enough space, or a children’s menu and changing/highchair facilities. As a family with four children we know how challenging it can be bringing children to restaurants and we want you and other guests to enjoy the best possible dining experience. So please leave the children with a sitter and enjoy some well deserved grownup time.
